Avet Mit2 – Transcriber Review

The AVET MIT2 is a multi-input, multi-format digital transcriber that’s been designed to meet the requirements of transcription professional transcription teams and targeted towards those working within the judicial system.

This cleverly designed device accepts a wide variety of common digital audio and video formats with input to allow audio to be obtained from CD/DVD, a mass storage device that is USB or via a network.

The user interface has been designed to be fast and simple to use, with a little segment of the internal 8.4″ touchscreen display being dedicated to supplying the user with information about the current record.

In transcription mode the MIT2 permits an individual to establish an automatic rewind to pause time of between 1 and 10 seconds as with conventional transcription gear.

Even better the MIT2’s end-of-day feature remembers which part of the record you were up to before turning the unit off at night. Their are also loop and memory functions.

Being robust and suitable for long-term investment continues to be an important part of the design process. The MIT2 already has network and USB connections and software upgrades can be readily be implemented through firmware updates.

The MIT2 is furnished with a typist headset and a robust foot pedal; optional accessories include service maintenance agreements and a soft or tough carry case.
